The French Public Higher Schools of Art
Nice
École nationale supérieure d’art de Nice – Villa Arson
about
The Villa Arson is a Public Institution for Cultural Cooperation (EPCC) under the supervision of the Minister of Culture, creating a synergy between the activities of a higher national school of art, a center for contemporary art, an artist residency and a specialized mediatheque.
At the moment of its inscription in the European space of higher education, the Villa Arson redefined the place of research in its pedagogical curriculum. It is in a position to propose to its students different axes of work resulting from partnerships with actors of university research and French and foreign art schools translating the unique nature of research in art. Two examples: The ECART workshop for research and creation / European “art and ceramics” network and the LittOral ARC, exploring the relationship between speech, stag and body.
Students can also gain experience in cultural mediation and in mounting an exhibition in the context of the programming in a center for art.
