about
The école européenne supérieure d’art de Bretagne (EESAB) – Brest, Lorient, Quimper, Rennes hosts 900 students on 4 geographical sites. It proposes training at a Bac +3 and Bac +5 levels (equivalent to a Master’s) in art, design and communication. The Art option is the main line of the Quimper site of the EESAB since its origin, and in this ways gives the objective and ambition of training artists. The pedagogical project aims, leaning on the skills and experience of the artist-teachers and theoreticians, privileging the diversity of practices and approaches, all the while strengthening its knowledge of the spaces where the artist works: exhibitions, publications, public spaces, performance situations, through continuous platforms of work all throughout the curriculum, open to all of the students from the 2nd year onwards:
Platform « Formes creuses (Hollow forms)» : Production/exhibition (Hervé Le Nost, Yvan Le Bozec)
Platform « Editer » : from flyer to book, from poster to website (Alain Le Borgne, Antoine Dorotte, Yvan Le Bozec)
Platform « Situations » : experimenting with languages as sound, writing, performance (Christine Lapostolle, Anne de Sterk, Karine Lebrun, Hervé Thoby)
Platform NDE (Nos Désirs d’Extérieurs) : public space, urban space, 1:1 scale projects : (Bruno Peinado, Virginie Barré, Antoine Dorotte).
